I was looking for a chair to take camping. I needed something quite low, as I have a low-profile tent that I place a tarp over to give me protection from the elements, and I no longer want to sit on the ground. This chair was perfect. I could sit under the tarp with just enough clearance and have back support. I will admit that if the chair were set on a hard surface, it might be a little difficult to get on and off, but on grass or even sand, it is fine. I am also happy with the quality of the workmanship. It will go on every camping trip and to the beach with me.
